Yeyuhai Scenery Spot was constructed in 2014 (the construction of Yushe National Forest Park started in 1999) and with a planning area of 28 sqkm. The Yushe National Forest Park in this area was listed as a national AAAA tourist resort in 2013 (Yeyuhai was listed as a provincial tourist resort in December 2017). Main attractions include Haiping Village of the Yi nationality, Torch Square, Haiping Shopping Street of the Yi style, and Tiankongzhilian Hotel (literally, love of sky). The resort offers fresh air, splendid natural views and special Yi flair. With the continuous development of the tourism industry, it is planned to enrich the service list in perspectives of food, accommodation, transportation, shopping and entertainment by promoting featured services such as mountain sports, health preservation in forests and hot springs, and popularization of ecological science, to meet the growing consumer demand of tourists.
