Liupanshui’s First Tourism and Cultural Industry Development Conference was held in Tuole of Pan County on November 6, and the theme of the conference is “Open up, Innovate, Accelerate and Transform to Forge the Upgraded Version of Liupanshui’s Tourism and Cultural Industry Development”. The conference emphasized that we should deeply implement the great decision deployment of the CPC Guizhou Committee and Guizhou government for forging the upgraded version of tourism industry, fulfill the objective that “One place holding the conference drives joint response of the whole city, and one scene leads all the scenes to strive for amor” by holding a Tourism and Cultural Industry Development Conference in each county (special administrative region or district) in turn on an annual basis, inject passion and add vitality to the tourism industry development in Liupanshui, and forge the upgraded version of Liupanshui’s tourism and cultural industry development.

Liupanshui Municipal Committee and Municipal Government are expected to further deeply carry out the spirits of the 18th CPC National Congress and the Third and Fourth Plenary Sessions of the 18th CPC Central Committee in the future work, constantly reform the tourism development system and mechanism and make innovations under the leadership of Guizhou Provincial Committee and Provincial Government, promote new and greater development in the tourism industry of Liupanshui, and make new contributions to accelerated development, accelerated transformation, and leapfrog development of the economy and society of the whole city.
　　According to Zheng Xu’s speech, Liupanshui has speeded up tourism development with all its strength, pushed forward gorgeous transformation from “Coal Capital in South China” to “China’s Cool Capital”, and accumulated experience for the whole province to create a new operational type of tourism and promote industrial transformation and upgrade, and its demonstration effect in the provincial tourism development is being revealed and reinforced gradually. Liupanshui’s tourism plays an important part in the tourism industry of Guizhou, and “China’s Cool Capital” is a splendid chapter of colorful Guizhou. The Tourism Administration of Guizhou Province will, as always, support Liupanshui to develop its tourism vigorously.
　　In his speech, Zhou Rong pointed out that tourism has increasingly become a life style and a social activity manner, and also turned into a sunshine industry with good economic benefits, social benefits and ecological benefits. Liupanshui enjoys the excellent natural endowment of tourist resources and unique advantages in the tourism industry. Liupanshui successfully undertook the Eighth Conference of Guizhou Tourism Industry Development in 2013, and its fine reputation and popularity of “Guizhou Ridge·China’s Cool Capital” have been boosted constantly. Along with completion of Liupanshui Yue Zhao Airport and its opening to air traffic, near completion of Liupanshui-Liuzhi Expressway and full completion start of Anshun-Liupanshui Inter-city Railway, Liupanshui’s geographical advantage as the “Overpass” of the four provinces of Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou and Guangxi has been further highlighted.
　　According to Zhou Rong, Liupanshui’s tourism industry has entered the “era of post-tourism development”, and our city will seize the opportunity and energetically encourage development of the tourism industry by closely focusing on the objective of forging a city of tourism and leisure resort meeting international standards, and make the good fame of “Guizhou Ridge·China’s Cool Capital” popular in the world. Firstly, we need to spare no effort to create high-quality tourist products. It is required to persist in the consciousness of high-quality products, and truly attract tourists to sit down, stay, and fall calm by relying on featured attractions, connotation precipitation and environmental optimization. We need to lay emphasis on format innovation, and take aim to the target and intended markets; lay stress on individuality characteristics, protect and make good use of significant topographic features and endowed peculiarity of good tourist resources of Karst, and avoid excessive commercialization and artificialization to reserve the true quality, real look and ultimate source of mountain, water and humanity; lay emphasis on the cultural connotation, deeply dig the traditional culture, “Three-Line” spirit and red historical story, and retain the “root” of culture so that scenic spots can withstand visiting, questioning and commenting and tourists can be stimulated by the sensual beauty and enjoy the spiritual benefits and mind baptism. Secondly, we need to carry forward tourism marketing with all efforts. The tourist resources of Liupanshui have been unknown to people for a long time and need to be further publicized and promoted. We sincerely hope that the media and travel agencies can ideally publicize and promote the tourism scenery of Liupanshui. 　　In the speech, Fu Guoxiang said that Pan County has speeded up construction of scenic spots by centering on the objective of growing into a big international first-class city of cream tourism, and constantly added rich industry modalities such as summer recreation, tour and sightseeing, outdoor sports and countryside picking, and the tourism industry is gradually becoming the important industry in the transformation and upgrade process of Pan County. Pan County will regard this Tourism and Cultural Industry Development Conference as an opportunity, put forth effort to cultivate the tourism industry into a new pillar industry of increasing the economic aggregate, optimizing the industrial structure and improving the development quality, and boost sound and fast, and better and faster development of the economy and society of the whole county.
　　The centralized signing ceremony of Liupanshui tourism industry projects was also performed in the conference, and the flag was also presented to Shuicheng County that will hold Liupanshui’s Second Tourism and Cultural Industry Development Conference.
　　After the conference, the participating leaders and honored guests joined the tree planting activity of “Ecological Construction and Culturas Tourism” and visited the scenic spot of ancient ginkgo trees on the field.
